Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Loudboard (the “App”, “we” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information from users. By using the Loudboard app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile

When you use Loudboard, you choose a nickname (username) to appear on leaderboards. We also store your settings (e.g., audio-verification consent, haptics on/off). No email or password is required.

Device & Session Data

We automatically collect information about your device and session to operate the App and improve security. This includes: - Device model, operating system version, App version - Session ID and IP address - Country and region code

If you grant location permission, we collect GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude); if not, we infer your approximate country/region from your IP address.

Audio Data & Metrics

When you scream into the App, your raw audio is captured locally on your device. The App derives metrics from the recording—such as peak decibel level, duration, frequency samples, and other audio statistics—to compute your score.

If you opt in to audio verification (an optional feature) or use the share feature, the App uploads your audio to secure cloud storage. All audio is transmitted via time-limited presigned URLs with enterprise-grade cryptographic access controls. Audio data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Audio and derived metrics are used only for game functionality (scoring, verification, anti-cheat) and not for unrelated purposes.

Analytics & Diagnostics

We use analytics and crash-reporting tools (such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, and similar services) to improve Loudboard. These tools automatically collect: - App feature usage, screen views, button taps - Performance metrics and crash logs - Device identifiers (e.g., advertising IDs where permitted) - IP addresses and approximate location for aggregated statistics

Advertising Data

We display advertisements in the App through third-party ad networks. These networks collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can purchase an ad-free experience through in-app purchase. See “Your Choices and Controls” for opt-out options.

Public & Shared Content

If you share your score via a link or appear on a leaderboard, we publicly display your nickname, score, and country/region. If you upload audio for verification or share it via a link, that audio is accessible to anyone with the link.

Web Cookies

On Loudboard’s website (e.g., for privacy info or support), we use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions (like remembering preferences) and for analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some site features may not work without them.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and improve Loudboard:

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share information as follows:

Special Note on Audio

We only transmit or share your audio if you explicitly choose verification or sharing. Your audio may inadvertently include other people’s voices or background sounds. You should have permission from anyone recorded. Treat audio like any public content once shared.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as needed for the App’s functions or as required by law: - Audio recordings and metrics: retained while used in sessions and leaderboards - Unshared audio files: deleted within approximately one year of inactivity - Shared audio/data: retained as long as the share link is active - Account and leaderboard data: retained until you delete your account

You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

5. Your Choices and Controls

6. Children’s Privacy

Loudboard is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete that data.

7. International Data Transfer

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using Loudboard, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country. We use standard precautions (encryption, secure hosting) to protect your data during transfer and at rest.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We update this Privacy Policy periodically (for example, when we add new features). When we make changes, we will post the updated policy in the App or on our website and update the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of Loudboard after changes means you accept the updated policy.
